Ariz. tribe resubmits stadium proposal
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 20, 2001

So far, the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation of Arizona is the only bidder who has submitted a complete application to host an Arizona Cardinals stadium.

Given the tough restrictions for the project and the short time frame -- 5 weeks -- for which a propsective host has to complete a proposal, the tribe might be the only one to do so. But the tribe had a head start because it had already submitted its proposal last year.

The state's sports board, however, rejected it in favor of another site. But that site has now been tossed so new places have to be considered.
