JUNE 29, 2001 The Native American Journalists Association has honored two Alaska Natives with two awards for their Independent Native News radio program. Directors Nellie Moore and D'Anne Hamilton, who are Inupiat Eskimo, won awards for best ongoing radio program and for extraordinary contributions made to Native journalism.
