LETTER: Sick of being 'racist'
OCTOBER 27, 2000

"I am sick of being called a racist every time the Indians don't get their way. . . None of the present Indians suffered; maybe their ancestors have, but so did the settlers who built the roads, invented cars and airplanes, worked farms and invented electricity. How have the Indians bettered our lives?"
