Alaska group focuses on racism

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 9, 2001 A group called Healing Racism in Anchorage will be holding a workshop this weekend to address what it calls "endemic" racism in society. The group has been spurred by recent racially-tinged incidents, including paint-ball attacks by three white youths on Alaska Natives and the vandalism of an Arab-owned business. But worried that the message against racism is not going deep enough, the group is brining in a social worker to address various issues. Get the Story:
