Thanksgiving this year in Plymouth, Massachusetts, will be different, as tribes from throughout the United States join with other countries in a weeklong commemoration of Native cultures.

In 1997, the town was the location of a clash between American Indian protesters and local police. In response to the incident, the town started paying more attention to Native issues.
