FEBRUARY 20, 2001

An experiment conducted by a third grade student in Boulder, Colorado, was removed from a science fair because it showed older students at her school preferred a white Barbie over a Black one.

The student had put up her experiment at school but teachers and parents complained about it. Officials are now reviewing why it was pulled.
