Nebraska's squaw names might go

As states around the nation move to remove "squaw" from public place names, Nebraskan citizens are making efforts to do the same in their state. Gov. Mike Johanns is anxiously watching legislation introduced in South Dakota and hopes to introduce legislation to rename state landmarks and bodies of water.
