Bison subject of symposium
Today and Saturday at The Cornhusker hotel, historians, farmers and ranchers, Native Americans, students, ecologists, scientists and poets will meet to talk about the legendary bison. No other animal -- not the grizzly bear, the wolf nor the eagle -- has captured the imagination of so many people. Featured Event:
Bison: The Past, Present, and Future of the Great Plains - April 6-8, 2000. The Center for Great Plains Studies, University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Opening talk by Arvol Looking Horse will focus on the white buffalo.
