MAY 2, 2000 The distributor of a shot glass Indian leaders in Utah found offensive has removed the item from its stock. The word "squaw" appeared at the 1-ounce line of the glass, "brave" at the 2-ounce line, and "chief" at the 3-ounce line. An image of an Indian in a headdress was featured on the glass, sold throughout souvenir shops in Salt Lake City. Director of the Utah Division of Indian Affairs Forrest Cuch called the glass "disgusting." Sources: 'American Indian' Shot Glass Is Pulled From Store Shelves (The Salt Lake Tribune 5/2)
