'Squaw' names bill passes in Oregon

JUNE 1, 2001 The Oregon Legislature finalized on Thursday a bill to rename all "squaw" place names in the state. The bill affects more than 100 locations, say supporters. It will now go on to Governor John Kitzhaber for approval. Get the Story:
