JUNE 19, 2000 A letter written by Todd York (Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma) questioning the reporting of the Connecticut newspaper The New London Day was published on June 17 in the paper. "In The Day’s June 1 story, 'Towns citicize BIA for not responding to information request,' you incorrectly state that the Bureau of Indian Affairs must provide technical assistance to any interested parties following a finding by the agency..."
