JUNE 20, 2000 "I read Tim Giago’s June 1 column in The Day, and my first reaction remains the same: How could any Indian person write such a disgraceful article about other Indian people? Just what makes Mr. Giago arrogant enough to infer that there are no 'real Indians' in the East or that we are 'brand new tribes' or that we didn’t fight 'real battles' for tribal sovereignty?"
