Navajo man testifies at UN

JUNE 2, 2000 Lenny Foster, founder of the Navajo Prison Project, testified before the United Nations World Conference Against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance last month in Geneva, Switzerland. Foster testified as a member of the International Indian Treaty Council (IITC) and said "A paramount Native American human rights problem in the United States...is religious intolerance, the denial of the right to practice Native American tribal religion."
