JUNE 25, 2001 Isabell Ides, one of the oldest members of the Makah Nation of Washington, died on Wednesday at the age of 101. Ides is credited with helping pass on the Makah language and culture to a new generation of tribal members. She was buried yesterday. Get the Story:
