FRIDAY, JULY 13, 2001 Vernon Henry, the chief of the Paiute Tribe of the Warm Springs Nation of Oregon, was killed in a car accident on Wedesnday night. He was 66. Henry was the first elected Paiute leader. Ceremonies will begin today in preparation for his burial tomorrow. Get the Story:
