Two charged in hate crime of 4-year-old

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 29, 2001 Authorities in Minnesota have charged two men with harassing and hitting a 4-year-old boy. The attack is being treated as a hate crime. Authorities say Michael J. Pigg, 19, and Jarod L. Sparks, 25, attened a Ku Klux Klan rally in St. Paul this past Saturday. Later, they allegedly attacked the boy, who is part African-American. Both are charged with two felony counts of bias-motivated harassment and one count of fourth-degree assault, a gross misdemeanor. Pigg is facing a property damage count as well. Get the Story:
