AUGUST 30, 2000 The Native American and Alaska Native population increased 15.5 percent to 2.3 million from 1990 to 1999, according to estimates released by the Census Bureau on Wednesday. The Asian and Pacific Islander population increased by 43 percent to 10.8 million and the Hispanic population increased 38.8 percent to 31.3 million. Get the Story:
