Obituary: Jack Briggs head of tribal college

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 19, 2001 Jack Briggs, a member of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and president of the tribe's college, died at his home in Minnesota on Sunday. He was 53. Briggs was the first and only president of the Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College. He helped found the school in 1987. Get the Story:
