Leader of Mont. group resigns

FRIDAY, JANUARY 18, 2002 Darren Melton has resigned as executive director of Helena Indian Alliance in Montana, citing strains on his personal life. Melton, who had been on the job since August, will hand over the group to interim director Francis Belgarde on January 25. Belgarde was Melton's predecessor. Get the Story:
