The Albuquerque Journal today features an article about Indianz.Com's home page being hacked over the weekend by groups the FBI has identified as of Chinese origin.

A staff reporter spoke with Indianz.Com's Content Director Todd York about the incident. In addition to learning about the hack from Indianz.Com, the reporter said visitors to the Journal's web site had called the paper and notified staff there about the hack.

Indianz.Com was linked in the Journal's April 29 article about urban Indians, the same day the hack occurred.

National Native News, based in Alaska, interviewed Indianz.Com Editor Acee Agoyo yesterday for a story about the hack as well.

Security experts at US computer companies are playing down the hacks, saying only a few "high profile" sites were hit. The director of director of the Federal Computer Incident Response Center also said attacks on government and military sites weren't above average, at least on Monday.
