Tribes gather for fishery meeting

The Northwest Indian Fisheries Commission held its annual meeting in Washington on Wednesday.

The meeting drew 19 tribes from the western part of the state. Discussion focused on treaty rights, marketing and salmon recovery.

The keynote was provided by Bob Anderson, director of the Native American Law Center at the University of Washington.
