Editorial: Memorial must stress peace unity

Quoting an Oglala Lakota elder, the Billings Gazette in an editorial today says a memorial to the Indian warriors who fought at the Battle of Little Bighorn must express a message of power through unity.

The paper says a memorial is long overdue. The paper says Montana's Senators should continue fighting to make sure the memorial is funded.

Ten years ago, Congress authorized the memorial but has yet to provided funding for it.
