All charges have been officialy dropped against a Minnesota woman who admitted writing papers for members of the University of Minnesota men's basketball team.

Jan Gangelhoff had agreed to plead guilty but a federal judge in September 2000 dismissed felony charges against her. The U.S. Attorney's office in Minneapolis has now decided not to continue the matter.

Gangelhoff has been reported to be of American Indian heritage but media accounts have not noted her tribal affiliation. According to The Minneapolis Star Tribune, she teaches on the Bad River Reservation in Wisconsin.
