Greater Navajo water rights sought

Navajo Nation representatives in Utah are urging the tribe to reassert its water rights to the Colorado River.

Navajo Utah Commission Chairman Mark Maryboy has sent a resolution to the tribal council for consideration at a special session next month. He believes the tribe could be entitled from 1 million and 2 million acre-feet of water.
