Bush and Gore battle on Earth Day
TUESDAY, APRIL 23, 2002

President Bush and Al Gore debated one another on Monday, except someone forgot to tell Bush and someone told Gore the contest was in Tennessee.

Bush promoted his "Clear Skies" environmental initiative during a visit to the Adirondacks of New York. Mother Earth responded with dark skies.

Former Vice President Gore called the program "Dirty Skies." (He was talking about Bush, not Mother Earth.)
