The Department of Interior is opposing a $250 million water project on the Rocky Boy's Reservation in Montana.

John Keys, commissioner of the Bureau of Reclamation, testified before a House Resources subcommittee on Wednesday against a bill to authorize the project. He said it was premature and costly.

Rep. Danny Rehberg (R-Mont.) introduced the measure. He said the reservation water is the worst around.
