Leaders gather to oppose consultation

First Nations leaders are meeting in Winnipeg this week to oppose changes to the federal-band relationship.

Minister of Native Affairs Robert Nault is proposing changes to the Indian Act and how First Nations are governed. But band leaders say the consultation he held was a sham and are seeking ways to counteract reforms they say won't address their needs.
