The Montana Marrow Program is holding a blood drive today in Billings for Arianna Jordan, a 1-year-old Native child with osteopetrosis.

Jordan's rare congenital disorder, affecting one in every 200,000 children, is curable by a bone marrow transplant. Native and other minority donors are urged to start the process, which includes joining the National Marrow Donor Program's registry.

Osteopetrosis is also treatable through stem cell transplantation. Possible donors are being sought for Jordan and others.
