A sports broadcaster in Florida pleaded guilty on Thursday to bribing gaming officials of the Miccosukee Tribe.

Jeff "Defo" DeForrest, a former personality on 560AM-WQAM, was awarded contracts by the Miccosukee Indian Gaming. The company was paying DeForrest to produce a television show.

At the same time he was paid $500,000 a year for the tribe's television contracts, DeForrest was kicking back money to the marketing director of the gaming company. The money was between $30,000 and $70,000, according to the U.S. Attorney in Florida.

The feds handled the case but it was set into motion by the tribe, whose auditors noticed suspicious charges. The marketing director, Purcell, has been charged with embezzling money from the tribe in an ongoing probe.
