Two members of Connecticut's Congressional delegation say an investigation into the Clinton administration's handling of federal recognition makes the case for reform.

Rep. Rob Simmons (R-Conn.) and Sen. Chris Dodd (D-Conn.) have each introduced legislation to codify existing standards. Simmons' bill increases to $1.8 million the amount of money available to research federal recognition petitions.
