FEBRUARY 1, 2001

A proposal to host a new Arizona Cardinals stadium on the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation east of Phoenix may be dropped from consideration as early as today by the Tourism and Sports Authority.

Although the tribe has offered an enticing financial package to host the stadium, its location may hinder its success. Still, other locations may not see financial gain from the stadium.
