A federal judge on Wednesday ordered the Absentee Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma to stop offering patrons games considered Class III.

The tribe had been ordered to shut down the games by a court. The National Indian Gaming Commission had also told the tribe to stop offering certain electronic games.

The tribe plans to appeal to the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals in the meantime.

New rules under consideration by the NIGC could end up classifying the games as Class II.
