Santa Ana Pueblo is hoping to resolve a lawsuit it filed against a former state lawmaker for a business deal gone bad.

The tribe and an independent company sued former House Minority Leader Kip Nicely, a Republican from Albuquerque, alleging misrepresentation, fraud and breach of fiduciary duty. The tribe invested in a computer school franchise in China but the venture flopped.

Nicely says he will countersue.
