Narragansett Tribe revises casino plan

THURSDAY, MAY 2, 2002 The Narragansett Tribe of Rhode Island is scaling down plans for a casino. The tribe and partner Boyd Gaming hope a smaller casino will be more attractive to state lawmakers concerned about impacts on existing gaming. But since a casino commission won't complete its work until next year, getting the proposal on the November ballot could be tough. By law, voters must approve expansions of gaming. Get the Story:
