A federal court overseeing the criminal racketeering case of Vincent "Buddy" Cianci, the mayor of Providence, Rhode Island, subpoenaed records from two tribal casinos in Connecticut.

According to The New London Day, the casinos owned by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and the Mohegan Tribe voluntarily turned them over. Tribal representatives said they cooperated on the basis of government-to-government relations.
