FRIDAY, MAY 3, 2002

Navajo Nation President Kelsey Begaye has vetoed gaming for the Baca-Prewitt chapter of New Mexico.

Begaye cited prior rejection of Navajo voters for his veto.

The To'hajiilee of New Mexico is the only Navajo community allowed to have gaming. The To'hajiilee is a physically separated part of the Navajo Nation.
