Suspended Chief Jim Billie has dropped his federal lawsuit against the Seminole Tribe and will instead seek support from members of the Florida tribe through a recall petition, his lawyer said on Tuesday.

Billie was suspended by the council in May amid allegations of sexual harassment but also of a reported FBI probe into his financial dealings.
