The Saginaw Chippewa Tribe of Michigan has hired a high-powered GOP lobbyist at a rate for $150,000 per month, Judy Sarasohn writes in her "Special Interests" column today.

Jack Abramoff of the firm Greenberg Traurig has close ties to House Majority Whip Tom DeLay (R-Tex.), the column reports. Delay is set to succeed House Majority Leader Richard K. Armey, also of Texas, who is retiring.
