THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 14, 2002

After numerous delays, the new Bureau of Indian Affairs building for the Navajo agency in Shiprock, New Mexico, is finally set to open March 4.

The $4.5 million building was completed in March 2001 and was ready for occupation in mid-May 2001. But there were a number of problems, although no one seems to want to give The Farmington Daily-Times the straight scoop.

The Navajo Nation will occupy part of the 35,000-square-foot Nataani Nez Complex Northern Navajo Agency.
