Aleut fisherman honored for rescue work

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 10, 2002 Dwain Foster, an Aleut fisherman from Sand Point, has been recognized by the Alaska Legislature for helping rescue numerous people over the years. Foster's first reported work was in 1980, when he saved two fishermen on two different occasions. More recently, he led a crew which rescued three others from a sinking vessel in February.
