A Democratic candidate for governor of Texas is being accused by a rival of benefiting from the gaming industry.

Tony Sanchez supports Indian gaming on reservations. A spokesman for Incumbent Gov. Rick Perry charges his position is based on financial ties to the Kickapoo Tribe.

According to The Dallas Morning News, a bank owned by the Sanchez family loaned "millions of dollars" to the tribe for its casino operation. A Sanchez spokesman notes the candidate is not on the bank's board and isn't involved in the loan.
