The Lakota Student Alliance of Pine Ridge and the Leonard Peltier Defense Committee will hold a press conference at the Jumping Bull ranch, calling for healing and reconciliation on the 25th anniversary of the shootout which resulted in the deaths of two FBI agents and an American Indian Movement (AIM) member.

A news conference will take place at the Jumping Bull ranch, site of the shootout.

Robert Ecoffey, superintendent of the Pine Ridge Agency for the Bureau of Indian Affairs, criticized the idea of holding a gathering.
