TUESDAY, MARCH 19, 2002 In an editorial, The Sioux Falls Argus Leader praises a Native woman for being a "trailblazer" who "shook up South Dakota" in her fight to change Indian mascots. But the paper laments Betty Ann Gross' decision to give up her cause. While she may have caused friction, the paper says someone needs to continue her mission and help bring better understanding.
