SEPTEMBER 8, 2000 The Havasupai tribe, who live at the bottom of the Havasu Canyon near the Grand Canyon of Arizona, will be hooking up to the Internet with six satellites donated by an Arizona company and the Northern Arizona University. The satellites will be used by the tribal government to promote itself and for internal business. Teachers at the Head Start will use them to take courses at NAU. Money from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation helped fund the project. Get the Story:
