Free Live Stream of January in Tucson Courses in May
As partners of Indian country, we understand the difficult challenge facing all Native nations and indigenous peoples across the world. We are also mindful that as the world confronts the COVID-19 pandemic, developing leadership capacity and governance skills is more critical to Indian country than ever before.
The Indigenous Governance Program at the University of Arizona has long been at the vanguard of delivering high-quality education and programming in indigenous governance. To do our part at this critical time, the Indigenous Governance Program is pleased to announce that we are offering our live streaming January in Tucson Courses in May event free of charge to all Continuing Education Certificate participants.
During this May 7 – 13, we will be hosting four January in Tucson courses. Each course meets online for approximately 4.5 hours per day for 3 consecutive days, including a variety of ways to engage with classmates and faculty. The courses will follow the full format of our regular January in Tucson courses and can count towards our Continuing Education Certificate. The courses will be available via live stream. Please keep in mind that you must attend each class and complete all assignments as if it were an in-person class to earn certificate credit. University of Arizona graduate students who wish to take these courses for graduate credit will pay normal University tuition rates and enrollment is limited.
Due to the intensity of the program, Continuing Education Certificate students must register by April 30 to gain access to course materials prior to the first day of class.
