Laguna Emergency Operations Center (EOC)
January 4, 2021 – Announcement
ALERT: HIGH COVID-19 POSITIVE CASES WITHIN THE PUEBLO OF LAGUNA
Twenty-five (25) new COVID-19 positive cases within the Pueblo of Laguna in the last three days. The EOC is beginning to see another surge of COVID-19 positive cases due to the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. Gatherings continue to be a main factor for how this virus has easily spread in our community and is now impacting many households.
The virus continues to be very aggressive with 5 individuals hospitalized and 2 out of 5 placed in the Intensive Care Unit on ventilators. Please continue to adhere to the Executive Order Amendment No. 2 to keep you and your family safe. Stay home as much as possible, stay within your own household, do not invite visitors inside your home, wear a face mask, and stay 6 feet away from people if you must go out.
As of 1/3/21, the POL COVID-19 case update within Pueblo boundaries currently stands at 501 total positive cases, 63 active cases, 5 hospitalizations, 422 recovered cases, and 3 additional deaths to total 17 deaths. In addition, we have 60 households in quarantine/isolation which totals 150 people affected.
Stay safe and protect your family.
