The Indian Health Service has updated its coronavirus data, showing vaccination distribution and administration for the first time.

According to the data, the IHS has distributed 777,955 COVID-19 vaccine doses across 11 areas of Indian Country, as of February 22, 2021. Of that amount, 444,068 have been administered, representing 57 percent of the total amount.

Among the 11 areas of the IHS, the Oklahoma City Area has received the largest number of doses. The 247,830 doses account for 31.8 percent of the total. Of that amount, nearly 42 percent have been administered in the region.

With 134,355 doses distributed, the Navajo Area accounts for 17.2 percent of the total amount. Of those, 56.8 percent have been administered in the region as of February 22.

According to the IHS, vaccination distribution and administration will be updated weekly.

As of February 22, 2021, the IHS is distributing vaccine allocations of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccine. The table below shows the total number of vaccine doses distributed and administered per IHS Area to date.
