COVID-19 in Indian Country
Based on the recommendations of health care experts and data showing increases in COVID-19 cases in states and nearby cities, the Navajo Nation’s state of emergency and closure of government offices and entities has been extended.
The Wind River Inter-Tribal Council has decided to keep its existing stay-at-home order temporarily in place due to coronavirus concerns and rising case counts in Wyoming.

The total number of COVID-19 positive cases for the Navajo Nation is 8,639 as of July 21, 2020. More than 6,400 have recovered from the coronavirus on the largest reservation in the United States.
