COVID-19 in Indian Country
The Inter-Tribal Council of the Five Tribes opposes the inclusion of Alaska Native corporations in the $8 billion coronavirus relief fund.

In a video message on March 25, 2020, Choctaw Nation Chief Gary Batton and Assistant Chief Jack Austin Jr. provided an update on the tribe’s COVID-19 efforts. Administrative offices, casinos, wellness centers, community centers and Head Start sites remain closed in order to slow the spread of the coronavirus in Oklahoma.
