A total of 83 community members have tested positive for COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, according to data posted by the\u00a0Kewa Pueblo Health Corporation<\/a>\u00a0on August 10, 2020.<\/p>\n

The figure represents an increase of just one case since July 22<\/a>. And since June, there have only been a small number of new cases at Kewa Pueblo<\/a>, the data shows.<\/p>\n

Additionally, all 83 community members have recovered from the coronavirus, according to the tribe’s health corporation.<\/p>\n

About 2,400 people live at Kewa,\u00a0according to the U.S. Census Bureau<\/a>, though the state of New Mexico puts the\u00a0population at more than 3,100<\/a>. Based on data shared by the tribal health corporation, almost everyone in the community has been tested as of August 10.<\/p>\n

Kewa is located in Sandoval County, where a large number of COVID-19 cases have been reported in two additional tribal communities. The Pueblo of San Felipe and the Pueblo of Zia have each seen more than 100 cases,\u00a0according to the New Mexico Department of Health<\/a>.<\/p>\n
